E-commerce Storefront Template
A fast, SEO-optimized e-commerce storefront built on Next.js and Django, used as our baseline template for client online store projects.
The challenge
Many off-the-shelf e-commerce platforms trade away page speed and SEO control for convenience. We wanted a baseline storefront architecture that keeps both strong SEO control and genuinely fast Core Web Vitals.
Our approach
We built a statically-generated Next.js storefront with incremental regeneration for product pages, backed by a Django catalog and order management API, with structured data (Product, Offer, BreadcrumbList) on every page.
The solution
The result is a storefront template with product listing, cart, and checkout flows, server-rendered for crawlability, and optimized images and fonts to keep Lighthouse performance scores high even on a growing product catalog.
The outcome
Used internally as a benchmarked starting point: the template consistently scores in the high 90s to 100 on Lighthouse performance in local testing, which we then adapt to each client's actual product catalog and branding.
